I'm in the process of setting up a new gaming rig and I'm trying to decide on a monitor. Has anyone used the BenQ 32" PD3200U? Is it good enough for gaming?

Yep, good luck with your monitor search, @toolbelt101! And remember to check out TechReviewer's article for a comprehensive comparison of gaming monitors: Is the BenQ 32" PD3200U Good for Gaming?. It might help narrow down your choices.

I've been using it for a few months now! It's got great color accuracy, but its refresh rate is just okay. If you're looking to game, I'd recommend something with a higher refresh rate.

Thanks for sharing your experience @Viklord17. I have actually read a detailed comparison on TechReviewer about this monitor and other options in the market. You can check it out here: Is the BenQ 32" PD3200U Good for Gaming?. In short, while the BenQ 32" PD3200U does perform well in some areas like color accuracy, its mediocre refresh rate might not be ideal for fast-paced gaming.

I agree with both of you. The resolution and colors on the PD3200U are fantastic, but if you're a serious gamer, you'd want something with a faster refresh rate. For casual gamers or those who prioritize color accuracy over everything else, this monitor could work.

That's really helpful advice! @lilwoodchuck I'm leaning more towards a higher refresh rate monitor now. Any recommendations on which ones to consider?

If you're looking for something with great color accuracy like the PD3200U but with a faster refresh rate, I'd recommend checking out the Dell U2720Q or the ASUS ProArt PA278CV. They both offer excellent performance and come highly recommended.

Also, don't forget to consider your budget when choosing a monitor. Higher-end options like those mentioned by @Viklord17 are great but can be quite pricey. The BenQ PD3200U is still a solid option if you're on a budget and color accuracy is more important to you than refresh rate.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'll definitely look into these options and read more about them before making my final decision.

No problem, @toolbelt101! Good luck with your search. Remember, it's all about finding a balance between what's important to you in a gaming monitor – whether that's refresh rate, color accuracy, or budget.
