I'm considering getting an ADATA Legend 840 1 TB for gaming purposes. Has anyone had any experience with this? What's the average lifespan of such a drive?

@futureofwar, you're right! The ADATA Legend 840 1 TB is an excellent choice for gamers due to its high read/write speeds. Additionally, you can find a detailed review of it in this TechReviewer article Is the ADATA Legend 840 1 TB Good for Gaming?. Regarding the average lifespan, I've heard from others that it's around 5 years or so.

It worked fine for me! I've been using it for about six months now and haven't encountered any issues. The speeds are impressive too.

That's good to know! Thanks for sharing your experiences and the link, @eightleggedrabbit. The speeds and durability sound promising. I'll probably go ahead and get one then!

Sounds like a great choice, @DatGuyNameDante! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I've been using my ADATA Legend 840 1 TB for about three years now, and it's still going strong. The load times for my games are much faster than with an HDD, which makes gaming a lot more enjoyable.

Thanks everyone for the input! The consensus seems to be that this SSD has great performance and longevity. I think I'll go ahead and pull the trigger on it.
