Asus XG259CM in Small Spaces?

Started by lisacortez on May 25, 2024

I'm looking to buy a monitor stand for my new Asus 24.5" XG259CM, and I was wondering what are some good options out there? The monitor is quite heavy and has a specific VESA size (100 x 100 mm), so I need something that can handle it.

You're right! I actually used a VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount for my previous monitor, and it was great. The TechReviewer article Monitor Mounts & Stands for Asus's 24.5" XG259CM discusses various options, including one specifically tailored for the BE270U. That might be helpful for you too.

I've had good experiences with the HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount. It's sturdy, easy to install, and can support monitors up to 22 lb. Should work for your Asus XG259CM.

Thanks for the suggestions! How about the weight capacity? My monitor weighs 8 lb, so I need something that can handle that comfortably.

The HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount should definitely work for your 8 lb Asus XG259CM. It's designed to hold monitors up to 22 lb, which is more than enough for yours.

As for the VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount I mentioned earlier, it can accommodate screens up to 66 lb. So that should also be a solid choice if you're looking for something with a higher weight capacity.

Thanks again! I'm still trying to decide between the two. Any other recommendations based on personal experience?

I've used the Ergotron HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Desk Mount, and it's fantastic. It can handle screens up to 42 lb and has great adjustability. If you have a bit more desk space, this could be a good option.

Wow, that sounds like a great choice too! But I'm limited by the amount of space on my desk. What about those mounts that attach to the wall? Are they any good?

Wall-mounted monitors can work well for saving desk space and providing a clean look, but installation can be more involved than other options. The ones I've used were sturdy and reliable, but you'll need to consider whether you're willing to drill holes in your wall.

Thanks everyone for the input! I think I'll start with the HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount since it seems to be a popular choice and should work well with my monitor. If I run into any issues, I can always try one of the other options you've mentioned.

Sounds like a good plan! And don't forget to check for compatibility with your desk setup before purchasing. Good luck!

Will do! Thanks again for all the help and advice. I appreciate it!
