I'm looking into getting a new monitor and came across the Asus VG279Q3A. Has anyone had experience with it? Particularly for fast-paced gaming?

I've been using the ASUS TUF Gaming 27" for about a month now and it's been great! The colors are really vibrant, and the response time is super quick.
Oh, nice! You should check out this article Is the Asus 27" VG279Q3A Good for Gaming? that goes in-depth on whether the Asus VG279Q3A is good for gaming. It covers everything from refresh rate to color capability.
Hey, I've been considering the same monitor and read that article as well. The 180Hz refresh rate seems like a huge plus!
Yeah, it definitely sounds impressive! But what about the resolution? Does anyone know if 1080p is enough for fast-paced gaming?
Personally, I think 1080p is more than adequate for most games. You can always upgrade your graphics card later on if needed.
That's true. And if you're playing on a higher resolution, you'll need a better GPU to maintain smooth gameplay. The VG279Q3A is also an IPS panel, which offers great viewing angles and color accuracy.
Right, I've heard that the IPS panels are superior for gaming in terms of colors and angles. Any idea how it compares to a TN panel?
From what I've read, the response time on this monitor is 1ms, which should be great for fast-paced games. Has anyone noticed any input lag while playing?
I haven't experienced any noticeable input lag with my monitor, so I think you'll be fine in that aspect.
That's reassuring to hear! Thanks everyone for the info. I might just go ahead and pull the trigger on this monitor.
