I recently started looking into getting a new gaming monitor and came across the Asus VG259QM and PG259QNR. Can anyone give me some insights on which one is better when it comes to response time? I'm mainly a PC gamer and play lots of competitive titles.

Hi there, @PeetzaSlice! Both the Asus VG259QM and PG259QNR have impressive response times at 1ms, which is excellent for gaming. However, I'd recommend checking out this TechReviewer article Asus 24.5" VG259QM vs. Asus 24.5" PG259QNR for a more in-depth analysis on how the two monitors compare.
Thanks for the link, @TheRealMonk! I did read through it and found that both have a 1ms response time, which is great for gaming. But what about their color accuracy? I know that's important too.
That's a good point, @smurfinq1. Both monitors feature IPS panels, so you should expect excellent color accuracy from both the VG259QM and PG259QNR. However, the PG259QNR has slightly better color coverage with 97% DCI-P3 compared to the VG259QM's 99% SRGB.
Ah, I see! Thanks for the info, @CptRavioli. So it seems like both monitors are really close in terms of performance. Does anyone have personal experience with either of these two?
@PeetzaSlice, I've personally used the PG259QNR and was quite impressed with its response time and overall gaming experience. The higher refresh rate definitely makes a difference, especially during fast-paced games.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @TheRealMonk! I'm leaning more towards the PG259QNR now. But what about other factors like screen size or ergonomics? How do they compare?
That's great to hear, @smurfinq1. Both monitors are 24.5 inches in size and have similar designs with adjustable stands, so you won't be disappointed on those fronts.
Alright, I appreciate the input from everyone here. It seems like the PG259QNR might be the better choice for me due to its higher refresh rate. But I still need to do more research before making a decision. Thanks again!
No problem, @PeetzaSlice! Just remember that personal preference plays a big role in choosing the right monitor. Good luck with your decision-making process!
Yeah, @PeetzaSlice, take your time and make sure it's the perfect fit for you. Happy gaming!
