Asus VA24EHE vs. VA249HE - Gaming PC Input Lag Comparison?

Started by millicanoli on May 30, 2024

I have been considering between the Asus VA24EHE and the Asus VA249HE for my gaming setup, but I'm particularly concerned about input lag. Can anyone share their experiences with these monitors in terms of input lag?

Check out this TechReviewer article Asus 23.8" VA24EHE vs. Asus 23.8" VA249HE that discusses PC input lag and how it can affect your gaming experience. It provides a comprehensive comparison of various monitors, including the Asus VA24EHE and VA249HE. This might help you make an informed decision.

From my experience, both the VA24EHE and VA249HE have similar levels of input lag. However, the VA24EHE has a slightly lower refresh rate which can make a difference when playing fast-paced games.

I've used the VA24EHE for some time now, and I find its input lag to be quite acceptable for my gaming needs. It's not as low as higher-end monitors but it's still decent enough for me.

Solution

@GlugYolo Thanks for sharing the link! I'll definitely read up on it. Based on what you all have said, it seems like both are decent options. However, I'm still a bit torn between the two. Any recommendations?

I think it comes down to personal preference and your budget. The VA24EHE has a higher refresh rate which might be better for fast-paced games, but it's also more expensive than the VA249HE.

That said, I've been quite satisfied with my VA24EHE. The input lag isn't an issue for me, and the higher refresh rate makes certain games much smoother. If you're willing to spend a bit extra, I'd recommend giving it a try.

Ultimately, if your budget allows for it, go for the one that offers more features and better performance for your specific needs. Remember, even slight differences in input lag can have noticeable effects on gaming, especially at higher levels of competition or when playing competitive games.

@Jappleseed1985 @GlugYolo Thanks for the advice! I think I'll go with the VA24EHE as it seems to be better suited for my needs. But I'll definitely keep in mind the importance of input lag and monitor performance in general.

That's a good choice! Enjoy your new gaming setup and remember to tweak the settings to get the best possible experience.

Absolutely, happy gaming!

Good luck with your new monitor! Don't forget to read up on how to calibrate it for optimal performance. The TechReviewer article I shared earlier has some great tips on that as well.
