Asus ProArt PA278QV for Primary Gaming?

Started by DoinBizniz on July 08, 2024

I've been looking into getting a new monitor and came across the Asus ProArt PA278QV. Does anyone have any experience with it or have some advice on whether it would be good as a primary gaming monitor?

That's good to know! Thanks everyone for your input. The article Is the Asus 27" ProArt PA278QV Good for Gaming? also mentioned that it might not be ideal for fast-paced games unless you have a high-end graphics card. Something to keep in mind if you're into those types of games.

I haven't personally used that one, but I remember reading an article about it Is the Asus 27" ProArt PA278QV Good for Gaming?. They mentioned its refresh rate and response time were both good for gaming.

That's interesting. What are your thoughts on the resolution? I've heard 2560x1440 is great for gaming, but I'm not sure if it's worth paying extra for.

I have been using the Asus ProArt PA278QV as my primary monitor for a few months now and I must say, I'm really impressed! The resolution has made a huge difference in my work and gaming experience. The images are so clear and crisp, it's like having a window to another world.

Yeah, that sounds awesome! But what about the color capabilities? Are they good enough for games?

I've heard 100% SRGB is decent, but not sure if that will be enough for me. Do you think it's possible to calibrate it further for better color accuracy in games?

The 100% SRGB rating means the colors are accurate when working with creative applications like graphic design or photography. For gaming, you probably won't notice much difference, but if you're heavily into colors and visuals in games, then yes, it might be worth calibrating further.

I haven't really noticed any issues with color accuracy in my games, so I don't think it's been a problem for me. But like @Themainfox14 said, if you're really into the visual aspect of gaming, then it could be something to consider.
