I've been looking at the Asus ProArt PA248QV and PA247CV monitors for my gaming setup, but can't decide which one to get. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey @Shatteredfox, you should check out this TechReviewer article Asus 24.1" ProArt PA248QV vs. Asus 23.8" ProArt PA247CV that compares these two monitors in detail. It might help you make an informed decision!

Hi @Shatteredfox! Both of these monitors have a pretty good reputation, and I've personally used the PA248QV for a while now. It has a 75 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms response time, which is great for gaming.

Solution

Thanks, @wanderingdove! I've read it already and found it quite helpful. The PA248QV seems to edge out the PA247CV slightly in terms of gaming performance due to its slightly higher refresh rate.

I recently bought the PA247CV, and I must say I'm pretty satisfied with it so far. It's not too shabby for casual gaming sessions!

That's good to know, @ChaveyJones! But what about you, @diskdinomite? Have you noticed any ghosting or lag while using the PA248QV?

I haven't encountered any major issues with ghosting or lag, but I can't speak for every situation. The 5 ms response time seems to handle most fast-paced games well enough.

It's also worth considering your specific needs and budget when choosing a monitor. For example, the PA248QV has more color accuracy and better ergonomics, which might be important if you're planning on doing some graphic design work alongside gaming.

Thanks for all the input! I think I'll go with the PA248QV since it seems to have an edge in terms of gaming performance. However, I'll keep the PA247CV in mind if I ever need a secondary monitor for other purposes.

Sounds like a plan, @Shatteredfox! Good luck with your new monitor, and happy gaming!

Likewise, good luck with your decision, @Shatteredfox! Let us know how you like it once it arrives.
