I'm thinking about getting a new monitor and came across the Asus PG48UQ. Has anyone tried it? What's the general consensus on this thing?

I've been using the Asus PG48UQ for a couple months now and I must say, it's an amazing monitor! The colors are stunning, and the refresh rate is great too.

The response time is also fantastic for gaming.

I've never used this specific monitor, but I'm a big fan of Asus products. From my experience with other Asus monitors, I would say that the refresh rate should be great for gaming.

Yeah, @throwawayconceit, I'd say the 138 Hz refresh rate is more than good enough for gaming. It's really smooth and responsive, especially when playing fast-paced games like first-person shooters or racing games. The response time of 0.1 ms also helps a lot in reducing ghosting.

I agree with @Verdilac. The OLED display is fantastic for watching movies too! And the overall build quality feels solid and durable.
