I'm looking for a new gaming monitor and can't decide between the Asus PG35VQ and LG 38GL950G-B. Has anyone tried both? Any advice?

I've used the LG 38GL950G-B before and it's amazing! The colors are so vibrant and the screen size is perfect for my setup.
Yeah, I've personally tested both of them. According to TechReviewer article Asus 35" PG35VQ vs. LG 38" 38GL950G-B, the Asus PG35VQ has a higher refresh rate at 200Hz compared to LG 38GL950G-B's 144Hz. However, LG 38GL950G-B has a better response time with only 1ms as opposed to Asus' 2ms. It really depends on your preference and needs.
Thanks for the info! The higher refresh rate on the Asus monitor sounds enticing, but I'm also worried about the response time. How much of a difference did you notice when playing games?
The Asus PG35VQ's 200Hz refresh rate definitely makes a noticeable difference in fast-paced games like FPS and racing titles. However, since it has a slower response time, you might experience some ghosting or blurring effects. The LG 38GL950G-B is great if you want smooth gameplay with faster response times.
That's good to know! I'll have to try both in person before deciding. Thanks for your help!
I agree with @palmettoquinn, it's always better to test them out yourself. Good luck with your decision!
Hey, just wanted to throw in my two cents. I've used both and found that the Asus PG35VQ's curved screen really enhances my gaming experience. The wider field of view makes everything feel more immersive.
@Genericseat That's a good point about the curved screen. It does make a difference, especially for those long gaming sessions!
Yeah, I'm starting to lean towards the Asus PG35VQ now. Thanks everyone for your input!
