Asus 27" VG278QR vs. VG279QM for Gaming?

I've been looking at the Asus 27" VG278QR and VG279QM monitors for gaming. Can you share your thoughts on these?

The VG279QM has a higher refresh rate, which should provide smoother gameplay. I've heard good things about both of these monitors for gaming.

I personally prefer the VG278QR because of its 165 Hz refresh rate and 0.5 ms response time. It also has a good color capability. Have you guys checked out any other options?
