AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D vs. Intel Core i5-12600K Performance

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I've been looking at the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Intel Core i5-12600K for my next CPU upgrade. Can anyone provide some insight into which one would be better for gaming and general apps?
