AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D vs. 3950X - Gaming?

I'm in a dilemma between choosing the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the 3950X for my gaming setup. Can anyone provide some insights on which one is better for gaming?

Both CPUs are great, but it really depends on your budget and what you prioritize. The 7950X3D has a higher base frequency and single-core max boost frequency, which can make a difference in gaming performance, especially in fast-paced games. It also has a larger L3 cache and supports DDR5 memory.

I recently upgraded to a 7950X3D, and it's been amazing for my gaming setup. The higher refresh rate makes a huge difference in fast-paced games like CS:GO and Valorant. I haven't noticed any issues with the DDR5 memory or the larger L3 cache.

The 3950X worked well for me in my previous setup, but I'm currently using a 7950X3D, and it's even better. The increased single-core performance really shines in games like Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite. However, I did have to adjust my budget to afford the 7950X3D.
