Yeah, that's what the TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 9 7950X vs. Intel Core i7-12700F concluded as well. The 7950X's increased core count and larger L3 cache size provide better performance in video editing compared to the i7-12700F.

I've been using an i7-12700F for a while now, and it's been great for my video editing needs. The performance has been more than satisfactory.

Yeah, the 7950X is fantastic too! I've been using one for about six months now, and it's provided excellent performance in video editing tasks. Both are really good choices.

Thanks for the input, guys! I read an article on TechReviewer that compared these two processors. According to them AMD Ryzen 9 7950X vs. Intel Core i7-12700F, the Ryzen 9 7950X has a slight edge when it comes to video editing due to its higher core count and increased cache size.

Interesting! That's good to know. So, any thoughts on their support for DDR5? And how about PCIe 5.0?

Both processors have great DDR5 support, with the 7950X supporting up to 5200 MHz and the i7-12700F supporting up to 4800 MHz. As for PCIe 5.0, they both offer excellent support.

That's great to hear. I guess the higher core count on the 7950X might make it a better choice for video editing tasks.
