AMD Ryzen 9 7900X vs. Intel Core i5-12600

I've been looking into getting a new CPU for my gaming setup and I'm trying to decide between the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X and the Intel Core i5-12600. Does anyone have experience with these or any suggestions?

That's interesting @DamionYoung. I've been using an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X for a couple of months now, and I must say that I'm pretty satisfied with its performance. The fact that it has better support for PCIe 5.0 is definitely a plus point.
