@hogwartsishome18 If you're interested in multi-threading, I'd definitely recommend the Ryzen 9 7900. For instance, TechReviewer has a great article AMD Ryzen 9 7900 vs. AMD Ryzen 7 5800 that discusses how the Ryzen 9 7900 performs compared to the Ryzen 7 5800 in various scenarios.

Hi @hogwartsishome18, both of those CPUs are great choices! The main difference is that the Ryzen 9 7900 has 12 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 5800's 8 cores. So, if you're looking for better multi-threading performance, the Ryzen 9 7900 would be a better option.

That's right! The Ryzen 9 7900 also has a higher base frequency and max boost frequency compared to the Ryzen 7 5800. This means it can handle more workloads and multitasking without any issues.

@cryptolaxy Thanks for sharing that link! It's really helpful. So based on this information, I'm leaning more towards the Ryzen 9 7900 for my build.

That sounds like a good choice @hogwartsishome18. Both CPUs will perform well in general use, but if you're planning to do heavy multitasking or run resource-intensive applications, the extra cores and higher frequencies of the Ryzen 9 7900 will definitely come in handy.

@hogwartsishome18 You won't be disappointed with the Ryzen 9 7900. I've personally used it for some pretty intense tasks, and it handled everything without breaking a sweat. Just make sure to have a decent cooling solution, as the extra power does generate more heat.

@cryptolaxy Good to know! Thanks for all the advice everyone. I think I'll go with the Ryzen 9 7900 for my build.
