Hey, I've been looking at the AMD Ryzen 9 5900 and 5600X for my gaming PC. Does anyone have experience with these CPUs? I'd love to know what's better for gaming.

Yeah, both of them are great! But if you're asking about gaming, I'd go with the Ryzen 9 5900. The article AMD Ryzen 9 5900 vs. AMD Ryzen 5 5600X talks about how it has a higher core count and larger L3 cache, which makes it more powerful overall.
That's interesting, thanks! So even though they both have excellent overclocking support and PCIe 4.0, the additional cores on the Ryzen 9 5900 make it better for gaming?
It depends on the games you're playing. For some games, having more cores can make a big difference, while others won't benefit as much.
I've used both of them in my PC and the Ryzen 9 5900 was definitely smoother for gaming, especially when running multiple applications at once or streaming.
Thanks for sharing your experience! So would you recommend getting the Ryzen 9 5900 over the 5600X if I'm into competitive online games?
It's possible, but it also depends on your budget. The Ryzen 9 5900 is more expensive, so you'll have to consider if the extra performance is worth the additional cost.
True, and you should also check out reviews from other users like @antiquee who've tried both CPUs in their systems.
