Started by BilliesJeans on June 22, 2024

I'm looking for a new gaming PC and I came across these two CPUs - the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X and the Intel Core i9-10500K. Can anyone share some experience with these or any advice?

Thanks, @lunalikeslasagna! That's really helpful. So, are you saying the Ryzen 9 3950X is better overall for gaming?

I've used both and personally, I prefer the Intel Core i9-10500K. It has a higher single-core max boost frequency, which can be important for some games.

I think it depends on the game and your specific use case. I've had good results with both CPUs in different situations. It's worth considering factors like multi-core performance, cache size, and PCIe support too.

I used to have the Ryzen 9 3950X but switched to the Intel Core i9-10500K recently. The difference in gaming performance is noticeable for me, especially with games that are more CPU-intensive.

So it seems like there's no clear winner here, and it really depends on individual preferences and game requirements. I'll do some more research and make a decision based on my specific needs.

That sounds like a good plan, @BilliesJeans. Just remember to check the TechReviewer article for a more detailed comparison: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X vs. Intel Core i9-10850K
