I'm looking to get a new CPU for gaming and I was wondering if the AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT is any good? Have you guys tried it out?
AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT vs. Intel Core i9-10900KF for Gaming?

Yeah, I've been using the Ryzen 9 3900XT for a while now, and it works great! You can check out this TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT vs. Intel Core i9-10900KF which gives an overview of its performance.
Thanks for sharing that link, @eddietheperson. I was particularly interested in comparing the 3900XT with Intel's Core i9-10900KF though. Has anyone tried both and can give me a comparison?
Yeah, I've used both, and they're both great CPUs. The Ryzen 9 3900XT has more cores, which is nice for gaming, but the Core i9-10900KF still delivers good performance too.
That's interesting to know. I'm also curious about their single-core boost frequencies. What are your thoughts on that aspect?
The Ryzen 9 3900XT has a 4.7 GHz single-core max boost frequency, while the Core i9-10900KF has a higher 5.30 GHz turbo boost frequency. However, I'm not sure if that makes much of a difference in gaming performance.
It can make a difference, especially for more demanding games that require high single-threaded performance. But ultimately, it depends on your specific game and hardware setup.
Good to know. Anything else I should consider when choosing between these two CPUs?
One thing you might want to look at is their PCIe support. The 3900XT supports PCIe 4.0 while the i9-10900KF only has PCIe 3.0, which could limit your potential for faster SSDs and graphics cards.
That's a good point. Thanks everyone for sharing your experience with these CPUs. I'll definitely take all this into consideration when making my decision.
