Yeah, I've been using the Ryzen 7 3800X for a while now and it's great! I've read this TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 9 3900 vs. AMD Ryzen 7 3800X that goes over the main differences between these two CPUs. The 3900 has more cores, higher L3 cache, and better PCIe support.
That's really interesting, thanks for sharing @Dizmatiz. Does the extra power of the Ryzen 9 3900 translate to any noticeable performance improvements in everyday tasks?
I've been using a Ryzen 9 3900 for a few months now, and I can definitely say that it does provide better performance overall. Especially for heavy multitasking and video editing.
Yeah, but the 3800X is still great too! It's perfect for gaming and general use. I don't think I'd need more power than what the 3800X offers.
That's true. The choice really comes down to your specific needs. For example, if you're into content creation or running virtual machines, the Ryzen 9 3900 might be a better fit.
Good point @GTSportsman, I'll have to think about what I need it for and make a decision based on that. Thanks for the advice everyone!
