I'm looking into getting a new CPU for gaming. Could you tell me which one is better, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or the AMD Ryzen 5 7600?

Both CPUs are great for gaming! Personally, I prefer the 7700X because it has more cores and higher single-core boost frequency.

Thanks for sharing the link, @mbarrado. So, does it mean that if I play games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3, the 7700X would be a better choice?

Yes, those are prime examples of games where extra cores can make a difference. The 7700X also has a higher base frequency and better overclocking potential.

I've been using a 7600 for a while now and it's more than enough for my gaming needs. I don't play many core-intensive games, so the 7700X hasn't been necessary for me.

Thanks for your input @Chreativ. I'm just curious, did you experience any bottlenecks or performance issues with the 7600?

Not really. As I mentioned, I don't play many core-intensive games, so I haven't encountered any major bottlenecks. For my use case, the 7600 has been more than sufficient.

That's good to know. I guess it all comes down to what kind of games you usually play and your budget.
