I recently bought the Intel Core i7-11700F, and it's been serving me pretty well so far! The performance has been solid, and I haven't encountered any issues. It's a great choice for gaming if you're on a budget.

Hey @ZedDee03, I've actually compared both of these CPUs in detail. You can find a TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 7 7700 vs. Intel Core i7-11700F that discusses their performance differences. The Ryzen 7 7700 has a higher single-core max boost frequency and supports DDR5, while the Core i7-11700F has a lower turbo boost frequency and supports DDR4. Based on my experience, I would recommend the Ryzen 7 7700 for gaming due to its better overall performance.

@DylanOzanich Thanks for sharing that link! I've read it before, and it definitely makes sense. The higher single-core max boost frequency can make a huge difference in fast-paced games like Apex Legends. The resolution is also great for an immersive gaming experience.

That's really helpful, @KingWylo. Thanks for the feedback on the Intel Core i7-11700F as well. It's good to know that it's still a solid choice if I'm on a budget.

I've been using the Ryzen 7 7700 for about six months now and can vouch for its performance! It really does deliver great gaming experience with my high-end GPU.

@jonahcarlson That's what I wanted to hear! Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I'll go with the Ryzen 7 7700 then.

Just make sure you get a good CPU cooler, as both of these CPUs can get quite warm under load. Good luck with your new rig, @ZedDee03!
