I've recently gotten a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and it's been working great for me. Check out this TechReviewer article Which Chipsets Work With AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU? that gives an overview of the chipsets compatible with it.
Thanks for sharing, @lumberjackshirt. From what I know, X570, B550, A520, X470, and B450 are all compatible with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU. The X570 is highly recommended as it supports PCIe 4.0.
I'm planning to build a computer around the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Based on @lumberjackshirt's recommendation, I'll look into the X570 chipset for full support of PCIe 4.0. Thanks!
That's great advice, @SysAdminTW. I appreciate your input. By the way, does anyone have experience with a particular motherboard brand they'd recommend?
I've been pretty happy with my ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi). It offers good value for money and has served me well.
I'm also a fan of MSI products. The MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI is quite feature-rich and has performed well in my system.
Thanks for the suggestions! @lumberjackshirt and @NarwhalasaurusRex, I'll definitely check out those options. Appreciate your help, guys!
