Yeah, the 5800X can get pretty hot during gaming sessions. Using a high-quality air cooler or even liquid cooling could help keep temperatures in check. The TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 7 5800X vs. Intel Core i7-11700F discusses this as well.

Both of these CPUs are great choices for gaming. The Ryzen 7 5800X has a higher single-core max boost frequency of 4.7 GHz, which can make a noticeable difference in gaming performance, especially in fast-paced games. It also supports overclocking and PCIe 4.0, which is excellent for using the fastest SSDs and graphics cards. You can check out this TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 7 5800X vs. Intel Core i7-11700F for more details on these CPUs.

I've been using the Ryzen 7 5800X for a while now, and it performs really well in games. The higher single-core boost frequency makes a huge difference, especially during intense gaming sessions. The only downside is that it can get pretty hot, so you'll need a good cooler.

That's interesting! So, the 5800X would be better for gaming overall then? What about the i7-11700F?

The Core i7-11700F is also a great option. It has an impressive single-core max turbo boost frequency of 4.90 GHz and supports PCIe 4.0 as well, which is important for high-speed storage and graphics cards. However, it doesn't support overclocking like the Ryzen 5800X.

I've been using the i7-11700F, and while it performs well in games, I noticed that the higher single-core boost frequency of the Ryzen 7 5800X does make a difference, especially during fast-paced games. However, I found the overall gaming experience to be very good with the i7-11700F.

So, it seems like both CPUs are great for gaming, but the Ryzen 7 5800X might have an edge due to its higher single-core max boost frequency and overclocking support. But, I'm also worried about the heat issue mentioned by @waynepreno. Any tips on how to keep the CPU cool?
