AMD Ryzen 7 5800X vs. 3800XT Performance Gap?

I've been looking into getting a new CPU for my gaming PC and came across the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and 3800XT. Can anyone tell me if there's any significant performance difference between these two? They seem pretty similar.

I've used both the 5800X and the 3800XT for a while now, and I can tell you that the performance gap is pretty small.
