AMD Ryzen 7 5700G vs. Intel Core i5-11500 Performance

I've been looking at the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G and Intel Core i5-11500 for my next build, but I'm having trouble deciding which one is better for gaming and general app performance. Has anyone here tried both or have any recommendations?

I've used the Ryzen 7 5700G before and it performed really well in gaming. The higher core count and base frequency gave me a smooth experience.
