AMD Ryzen 7 3700X vs. Intel Core i9-9900 for Gaming

I'm in a bit of a dilemma and could use some help deciding between the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and Intel Core i9-9900 for my gaming setup. Has anyone had experience with these processors or can recommend one over the other?

The higher single-core max boost frequency of 4.4 GHz definitely makes a difference in fast-paced games like Overwatch. Plus, the larger L3 cache capacity provides better overall performance. It really comes down to personal preferences and what you value more in your gaming experience. The Ryzen 7 3700X's higher single-core max boost frequency is excellent for performance, but if color accuracy is important to you, especially for visually rich games, the Intel Core i9-9900 might be a better choice. The smaller screen size of the LG monitor could also be a deciding factor if desk space is an issue.

Another thing to consider is future-proofing. While both CPUs are excellent choices, the Ryzen 7 3700X has support for PCIe 4.0, which can handle tasks like scene management, gameplay logic, physics calculations, and asset loading more efficiently. The Core i9-9900 only supports PCIe 3.0, which could limit the potential of the latest SSDs and graphics cards.
