I've been looking at the AMD Ryzen 5 7600 and Intel Core i9-13900K for my next CPU upgrade. Can anyone compare their multi-thread performance? I need a bit of advice.
AMD Ryzen 5 7600 vs Intel Core i9-13900K Multi-Thread Performance

Hey @AllYouNeedToKnow, have you checked out this TechReviewer article about the Ryzen 5 7600 and Core i9-13900K? It provides in-depth details on both CPUs including their core types, core counts, frequencies, cache capacities, overclocking support, DDR support, and PCIe. You can find it here: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 vs. Intel Core i9-13900K.
Yeah, I've read that article but I'm still unsure which one to choose for multi-thread performance. The Ryzen 5 7600 has a thread count of 12 while the Core i9-13900K has a thread count of 32.
Right, and based on my experience with these CPUs, the Intel Core i9-13900K clearly has better multi-thread performance due to its higher thread count. However, if you're working primarily on single-threaded tasks or gaming, the Ryzen 5 7600 might still be a good option.
That's true. I've been using a Ryzen 5 7600 for quite some time now and I'm quite happy with its performance in games. However, when it comes to rendering videos or doing other heavy multi-threaded tasks, my Core i9-13900K outperforms the Ryzen 5 7600.
Thanks for your input everyone. So, if I mostly work on video editing and other multi-threaded tasks, should I go for the Core i9-13900K?
That's what I'm leaning towards as well. The Core i9-13900K seems to be the better option for my use case. Thanks @slipstream55 and @Sarallelism for sharing your experiences.
Just make sure that you've got a good cooler, because those Intel CPUs can get pretty hot during heavy workloads!
Good point! I'll keep that in mind while shopping for my new CPU. Thanks again everyone!
