Good advice from both @toninosf and @herronicoras. I think the TechReviewer article also highlights some other important factors like DDR support and L3 cache to consider when choosing between these two CPUs. AMD Ryzen 5 7600 vs. AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

Yeah, I've been using the Ryzen 5 7600 for a few weeks now. It's a great CPU! The higher base frequency and single-core boost frequency really make a difference in gaming and other tasks.

Thanks for sharing that link, @hotsRenegade. The article seems to be very comprehensive. It's interesting to see how much better the Ryzen 5 7600 is in terms of base frequency, single-core boost frequency, L3 cache, DDR support, and PCIe compared to the Ryzen 5 5600G.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The higher base frequency and single-core boost frequency of the Ryzen 5 7600 definitely make it more suitable for gaming and other performance-heavy tasks. I'm really happy with my choice.

I'm trying to decide between these two CPUs myself. Which one would you recommend, @toninosf or @herronicoras? I'm looking for something good for both gaming and general app use.

Based on my experience, I'd recommend the AMD Ryzen 5 7600 for gaming. The higher base frequency and single-core boost frequency make it a great choice for gaming performance.

And for general apps, you should be fine with either CPU. However, if you want to future-proof your system, go for the Ryzen 5 7600 since it supports PCIe 5.0, which will be beneficial as technology advances.
