I've been looking at the new AMD processors and was curious if anyone had experience with the Ryzen 5 5600G or 2400G for video editing. Any recommendations?

I recently got a 2400G and it works pretty well for my basic video editing needs! It's not too shabby.
You're right, @LarsofArcana, the 2400G is decent but if you're looking for something better, check out this TechReviewer article comparing the two CPUs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G vs. AMD Ryzen 5 2400G. The 5600G has more cores and a higher base frequency which could make it a better option for video editing.
That's interesting! I didn't realize there was such a difference between them. Thanks for sharing the link, @stevierayblonde.
I've used both and the 5600G is definitely more powerful. The extra cores help with rendering times significantly.
Yeah, I'm starting to lean towards the 5600G myself. I just want to make sure it's worth the upgrade from my current setup.
It really depends on your specific needs and budget. If you can afford it and you need more processing power for video editing, then the 5600G would be a better choice. The TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 5 5600G vs. AMD Ryzen 5 2400G goes into more detail about their performance differences.
Thanks everyone for the input! I think I'll do some more research on these processors and see if the 5600G is worth the investment.
Good luck with your decision, @friends4eva. If you have any questions in the future, feel free to ask!
