I'm in a bit of a dilemma and could use some advice. I'm looking to buy a new gaming PC, but I can't decide between the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X and the AMD Ryzen 5 4600G. Can anyone share their thoughts on which one is better for gaming?

Well, based on the TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 5 4600G vs. AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X performs better in gaming scenarios due to its higher single-core max boost frequency and support for PCIe 4.0. It's worth considering if you're mainly going to use your PC for gaming.

I've been using the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X in my gaming PC, and it's been great so far. The higher single-core max boost frequency really makes a difference in gaming performance. Plus, it supports PCIe 4.0 for faster SSDs and graphics cards.

I've got the AMD Ryzen 5 4600G in my system, and while it's good for general use, I've noticed some slight bottlenecks when playing more demanding games. The PCIe 3.0 support is a letdown too.

That makes sense, but I'm also worried about the heat produced by the Ryzen 5 3600X since it has a higher TDP. Is that something I should be concerned about?

It's definitely something to think about, but if you're using a high-quality cooler, you shouldn't have any issues with the extra heat. The improved performance is worth it in my opinion.

True, but for me, the AMD Ryzen 5 4600G was better for general use and lighter applications. I mostly stream and do some office work, so it suits my needs perfectly. It's all about what you personally need from your PC.

Absolutely! Everyone has different requirements, so it depends on what you plan to use your gaming PC for most of the time. If you're primarily going to play demanding games, go for the Ryzen 5 3600X. Otherwise, the Ryzen 5 4600G might be a better fit.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I'll think it over and make my decision based on my personal needs. Appreciate the insights!
