I was just browsing through the TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 5 3600 vs. Intel Core i3-12100 that @Political-Intellect mentioned earlier and found it very informative. The Ryzen 5 3600 definitely seems like a better option, especially when considering the gaming performance and future upgrades.

Yeah, I've been using the Ryzen 5 3600 for a while now and it's working great! It handles all my gaming and work tasks smoothly. There's also a TechReviewer article that goes in-depth into its performance comparison with the Core i3-12100 AMD Ryzen 5 3600 vs. Intel Core i3-12100.

That sounds interesting, I'll definitely check out the article you mentioned. Just to clarify though, for general app usage like web browsing or streaming, would the Ryzen 5 3600 be better than the Core i3-12100?

For me, both are good choices, but if you're looking for a CPU that offers better overall performance for professional tools and software, I'd recommend going with the Ryzen 5 3600. Just make sure you get a high-performance cooler to maintain those frequencies.

Yeah, I agree with @OlympianDWill. The extra core count and cache capacity of the Ryzen 5 3600 can really make a difference in certain tasks and applications.

Thanks for the input guys! Based on what you've said, it seems like the Ryzen 5 3600 might be the better choice for me. I'll probably go with that one then.
