I've been looking to upgrade my gaming PC and I'm torn between the AMD Ryzen 5 3500 and Intel Core i5-9600K. Can you guys share some experiences or advice on which one is better for gaming?

I've used both of these CPUs in my builds, so I can give you a bit of insight. Overall, they're pretty close in performance, but it really comes down to the type of games you play and your budget.
@mynameislucas, if you don't mind me asking, what's your primary concern when choosing between these two? It could help narrow things down a bit. Also, I've read an interesting comparison on TechReviewer about these CPUs. You can check it out here: AMD Ryzen 5 3500 vs. Intel Core i5-9600K. They cover some important aspects that might help you make your decision.
Thanks for the link, @slipstream55! I'm mostly worried about performance in fast-paced games like Overwatch and Call of Duty. I also have a small desk space, so screen size could be an issue with the Odyssey G9.
If you're focusing on high-end gaming performance, the Ryzen 5 3500's higher base frequency and better DDR support might give it an edge over the i5-9600K. However, if color accuracy is important to you and you value that more than the refresh rate, then the LG monitor might be a better choice.
Interesting points, @KsGaming2. But regarding the screen size issue, isn't the 49" Odyssey G9 too big for most desks?
Yeah, you're right. That's another thing to consider. I think I'll take another look at the LG 38GL950G-B then. Thanks for your help everyone!
No problem, @mynameislucas! Just remember that it ultimately comes down to your personal preferences and gaming habits. Good luck with your build!
I've been using the Ryzen 5 3500 for a few months now, and I must say, it's been great so far! I didn't notice any issues with my small desk space either. Hope this helps!
Thanks for sharing your experience, @subinboston! That gives me more confidence in choosing the Ryzen 5 3500.
It's always good to hear from someone who's tried both CPUs and had positive experiences with one of them. Keep up the great work!
Agreed, @subinboston. Your input was really helpful! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
