I'm looking to pick up a new CPU for my build, and I'm trying to decide between the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and the 1700X. Has anyone here done any graphics comparisons with these two CPUs? Any insights would be helpful!
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 vs. 1700X Graphics Comparison?

Yeah, I've been using the 2600 in my system for a while now. The performance is decent but not outstanding. It works fine for casual gaming and general use.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @suratmommy. Just to give you guys an idea, I recently read an article on TechReviewer about the graphics comparison between these two CPUs. The link to that article is AMD Ryzen 5 2600 vs. AMD Ryzen 7 1700X. You might find it helpful in making a decision.
That's really useful information! Thanks for sharing, @ChaveyJones. Does anyone else have any personal experiences with either of these CPUs? I'm leaning towards the 1700X, but I want to make sure it's the best choice for my needs.
Hey there! I've been using the 1700X in my system for a couple months now. It performs really well for gaming and general use, but I don't notice much of a difference in graphics performance compared to the 2600.
Thanks for your input, @Moose1956. So it sounds like neither CPU offers a significant advantage when it comes to graphics performance?
That's correct, @JungleJim92. From my understanding, both CPUs have similar graphics capabilities. The main difference between them is the number of cores and the single-core max boost frequency.
Yeah, I think the 1700X might be a better choice for gaming because it has more cores, which should help with multitasking and running more demanding games.
That makes sense. Thanks for all your input, everyone! I'll definitely check out that TechReviewer article you mentioned, @ChaveyJones. It seems like the 1700X might be a better fit for my system, but it's still not clear to me. Any other tips or recommendations?
Well, if graphics performance is your main concern, both CPUs should serve you well. However, if you're looking for overall performance, including gaming and general use, the 1700X might be a slightly better choice due to its higher core count.
Thanks, @EskeetmoJoe. I appreciate all the advice! I think I'll go with the 1700X based on your experiences and the TechReviewer article. Fingers crossed it works out well!
No problem, @JungleJim92! I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever CPU you choose. Good luck with your build!
