I'm looking into getting a new CPU and I'm curious if the AMD Ryzen 3 5300G or the Ryzen 5 4600G would be better for gaming. Can you give me some advice?

Hi @kerranis, I've been using the Ryzen 5 4600G for a little while now, and I must say it's great! The performance is really solid. You can check out this TechReviewer article for more details: AMD Ryzen 3 5300G vs. AMD Ryzen 5 4600G.
That's awesome to hear, @Mazekitty. So you're saying that the Ryzen 5 4600G has better performance overall?
Yeah, I'd agree with @Mazekitty on this one. The extra cores on the Ryzen 5 4600G make a big difference in gaming performance. Plus, the single-core max boost frequency is also really nice.
I've been using an AMD Ryzen 3 5300G for about a month now, and it's worked fine for me. But I can see where @Mazekitty and @AlchemistXX are coming from - my CPU does seem to struggle in some games compared to the 4600G.
Oh, definitely! The Ryzen 5 4600G is definitely the better choice if you're looking for a gaming CPU. I've noticed a huge difference in performance when playing games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2. @Zeberlicious, have you considered upgrading to the 4600G?
That's really helpful, everyone! So it seems like the Ryzen 5 4600G is better for gaming overall. I'll probably look into getting one of those. Thanks!
