I've been looking at the new AMD CPUs and I'm curious if anyone has experience with these two. Has anyone tried the AMD Ryzen 3 3300X or the AMD Ryzen 7 2700 for gaming?

True, both CPUs are capable, but if you're looking to maximize your gaming performance, the Ryzen 7 2700 might be a better option due to its higher core count. In the TechReviewer article AMD Ryzen 3 3300X vs. AMD Ryzen 7 2700, they mention that most modern games benefit from having up to 6-8 cores.

I have used both of them for a while now, and in my experience, the Ryzen 7 2700 performs better for gaming due to its higher core count. I've read this TechReviewer article that compares these two CPUs and provides some insights on their performance. AMD Ryzen 3 3300X vs. AMD Ryzen 7 2700

Thanks, that's helpful! But what about the AMD Ryzen 3 3300X? Is it good for gaming too?

Yeah, the Ryzen 3 3300X is also a solid choice for gaming. It has a good balance of cores and frequencies that make it suitable for most games. I've had no issues playing my favorite titles on it.

Solution

That makes sense. So in general, for gaming purposes, would you say the Ryzen 7 2700 is the better choice?

I've used both, and I'd agree with @two-feathers that the Ryzen 7 2700 performs better for gaming due to its higher core count. The extra cores give it an edge in performance. However, if you don't need those extra cores, the Ryzen 3 3300X is still a good option.

Alright, I appreciate your input! I think I'll look more into the Ryzen 7 2700 since it seems to have the edge for gaming. Thanks everyone!

No problem! If you have any other questions or need help, feel free to ask. Good luck with your choice!

Same here! Let me know if you need any more advice on these CPUs. Have a great day!
