Yeah, it's working great for me! There's a good article with an overview of it at Which Chipsets Work With AMD's Ryzen 3 1300X CPU?. You might find it helpful.
That's super useful! It looks like the refresh rate is 144Hz, which seems like it'd be great for gaming.
I've been using the Ryzen 3 1300X and it's really great. The chipsets are compatible with all 300 and 400-series consumer chipsets. Make sure you get a motherboard with an AM4 socket and a compatible chipset like X470 or B450. They offer the most functionality among compatible chipsets.
Oh, I wasn't aware of that! Thanks for the information, @NightsNoctis83. So, which one would be better between X470 and B450?
Both X470 and B450 are great choices, but I personally prefer B450 because it's more affordable while still offering good performance.
I have a Ryzen 3 1300X build and I've been really happy with the X470 motherboard. It offers a little extra functionality that makes a difference in gaming and other tasks.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, @lilwoodchuck and @Dajosada. I think I'll go for an X470 or B450 motherboard. Any suggestions on which specific models to look at?
If you're looking for a good balance between performance and affordability, the GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO Wi-Fi is a great choice. It offers up to 128 GB of DDR4 memory support and has a 1 Gbps Ethernet port for fast internet or file transfers.
That sounds perfect! Thanks everyone for your input. I'll definitely check out the GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO Wi-Fi. Have a great day, folks!
