AMD 7900 vs. Intel i5-14400F Gaming

CPU INTEL AMD 7900 14400F

I've been looking into getting a new CPU for my gaming setup and I'm torn between the AMD Ryzen 9 7900 and the Intel Core i5-14400F. Can anyone provide some insight on which one is better for gaming? I'd love to hear about your experiences with these CPUs.

Yeah, @Klonebros and @Informatichannel are right. The AMD Ryzen 9 7900 offers excellent performance for gaming thanks to its additional cores and higher boost frequencies. Hey @Jhodges315, both CPUs are great, but I've been using the AMD Ryzen 9 7900 for a while now and it's been fantastic for gaming. The higher refresh rate makes a huge difference in gaming, especially during fast-paced matches like Apex Legends. The resolution is also great for immersive gaming experiences. Thanks everyone for your input! I appreciate it. Based on what you've all said, it seems like the AMD Ryzen 9 7900 is the way to go for gaming. Good to know that it's a step up from the Intel Core i5-14400F in terms of performance.
