I'm trying to decide between the Alienware AW2521HF and the Asus PG259QN for my new gaming setup. Does anyone have experience with these monitors? Any recommendations would be helpful.
Alienware AW2521HF vs. Asus PG259QN - Better Stand?
Started by Planetear on July 10, 2024
I've been using the Alienware AW2521HF for a few months now, and it's been great! The 240Hz refresh rate makes a huge difference in my gaming experience. Highly recommended!
Thanks for the input, @FuzzySets. I checked out the TechReviewer article Asus 24.5" PG259QN vs. Dell 24.5" Alienware AW2521HF to get more details on these two monitors. The Asus PG259QN has a better refresh rate at 360Hz, which could be an advantage if you're into fast-paced games like me.
That's interesting! The higher refresh rate definitely appeals to me. But I'm also curious about the response time. Both have a 1ms response time according to the article Asus 24.5" PG259QN vs. Dell 24.5" Alienware AW2521HF, so that's a tie there.
I recently switched from an older monitor to the Asus PG259QN, and I must say, the difference is night and day! The high refresh rate really makes everything feel more responsive and fluid. It's worth considering if you're serious about gaming.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @OlliverClosoff. I'm leaning towards the Asus PG259QN now. But I still want to hear more opinions before making a final decision.
No problem, @Planetear. Both monitors are great choices, but if you're looking for the best possible performance in fast-paced games, the Asus PG259QN might be the way to go. Just make sure your graphics card can handle it!
Good point, @FuzzySets. It's also worth considering build quality and ergonomics when choosing a monitor stand. I'm happy with my Alienware AW2521HF monitor, but its stand could be better.
Oh, that's good to know about the stands. Thanks everyone for sharing their experiences. I'll keep all these factors in mind while making my decision.
