I've been looking at getting a new monitor and came across the Acer 27" ED273 Abidpx. Does anyone have experience with it or any thoughts?

Yeah, I've been using it for a while now. I found an article that talks about its performance in detail Is the Acer 27" ED273 Abidpx Good for Gaming?. It has a VA display panel with a good color capability of 72% NTSC.

I have one, and it's great! The refresh rate of 144Hz is excellent for gaming, and the response time is good too.

That's useful! Thanks, @CowboysCrewLove. What do you think about the resolution? Would you recommend pairing it with a higher-end graphics card?

The resolution is good for gaming, but to fully take advantage of this monitor, I'd definitely recommend pairing it with a higher-end graphics card.

I've heard that the VA panel is better for darker scenes and less accurate colors. Is that true?

That's right. VA panels are known for their great black levels and contrast ratios but can sometimes struggle with color accuracy. It depends on your needs, though. If you're mostly playing games in dark environments, a VA panel like the one on the ED273 Abidpx would be ideal.

Good to know! Thanks, everyone. I'll have to do some more research and see what graphics card would pair well with this monitor.
