A80L Wall Mounts Necessary?

Started by BroncoBoy91 on July 11, 2024

I'm thinking about getting a wall mount for my new Sony 83" A80L TV. Can you recommend any good ones? I've heard that heavy-duty mounts are necessary because of the weight and size.

Yeah, definitely go for a heavy-duty mount! The weight of your TV is around 93 lbs, which means it needs something robust to hold it up safely. You can check out this article on TechReviewer for more info Best Wall Mounts for the Sony 83" A80L TV.

Solution

I've used the SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount before and it worked great! It's a full-motion mount that can handle TVs up to 90 inches and 150 lbs, so it should be perfect for your Sony A80L.

Good pick, @atodamaquina! The SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount is indeed a reliable option. I've also used the USX MOUNT Full Motion TV Wall Mount for my 75-inch TV and it performed well too. Both are great choices.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm leaning towards the SANUS mount, but what about VESA size compatibility? How do I know which mount is right for my TV?

Good question! The Sony A80L has a VESA size of 400x400 mm. You'll want to make sure that the wall mount you choose supports this VESA size. Both the SANUS and USX mounts should work, but double-check the specs just to be safe.

Another thing to consider is full-motion mounts, like those from SANUS and USX. They offer more flexibility in viewing angles and can be mounted in corners or recessed areas. However, they may require more installation time compared to fixed or tilting mounts.

That's good to know! I appreciate all the advice. I'll do some more research and see if a full-motion mount is worth the extra effort for me.

No problem, @BroncoBoy91! Just remember that the added flexibility of a full-motion mount can be really useful, even if it takes a bit longer to install. Good luck with your decision!

True that, @atodamaquina. And don't forget to check out TechReviewer's article for more insights on wall mounts and VESA compatibility Best Wall Mounts for the Sony 83" A80L TV!
