600W Power Supply Enough for i7-9700KF?

I'm looking to build a new PC and was wondering if a 600W power supply would be enough for an Intel Core i7-9700KF CPU. Any suggestions?

That's right, guys. According to a TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Power Supply for Intel's Core i7-9700KF CPU, a 600W power supply might not be enough for this CPU. It recommends going for an 850W power supply for top-tier components or a 550W for mid-tier components. Also, don't forget to factor in extra power requirements for overclocking.

Hi, @chiller702. The i7-9700KF has a peak power consumption of 119 watts at its maximum turbo boost frequency, so you might want to consider a higher wattage power supply.

Yeah, I agree with @antiquee. A 600W power supply may not be sufficient for the i7-9700KF. You should look for something around 850 watts if you have top-tier components and around 550 watts for mid-tier components.

Thanks for the advice, @seriousdolphin. I didn't realize that a 600W power supply might not be enough for this CPU. I'll definitely keep that in mind when choosing my components. Do you have any recommendations for good power supplies?

@chiller702, there are many great power supplies out there. Some popular options include the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series 80+ Gold Full Modular ATX 3.0 PCIe Gen 5 Power Supply and the EVGA SuperNOVA G5 Series Fully Modular Power Supply (220-G5-0650-X1).

@antiquee Also, you might want to check out the TechReviewer article I mentioned earlier for more options and advice on choosing a power supply. It can help you make an informed decision.

That's really helpful, @seriousdolphin. I'll definitely read that article and look into those power supplies. Thanks for your input!

No problem, @chiller702. Good luck with your build! Make sure to keep everything well-organized to avoid any potential issues.

Absolutely, @stephenseifert. And remember to always use a reliable power supply that supports the wattage of your components. Happy building!

Yes, good luck with your build, @chiller702. And remember, safety first! Don't skimp on important components like the power supply.

Thanks everyone for your advice! I'll keep all these tips in mind and make sure to choose a reliable power supply for my new PC.
