Software needed

First you'll need to do is download the software listed below before going any further in this guide,

1. XviD Codec, get either Nic's or Koepi's lastest binaries of XviD (doesn't matter which).
2. AC3 Codec, go to the project homepage to get the latest version.
3. Gnot Rippack, click here to get the latest version.
4. Note, one thing you might want to do is make a new folder on your hard drive to make things simplier. For example, I made a new folder called "xvidbackup" in my "D:\" drive so that everything related to this backup can be placed in that folder. You don't have to do it, but it makes things simplier.

Installing Software

1. XviD Codec, shouldn't be too hard, simply double click on the executable that you downloaded (should be called "XviD_Install.exe" or something like that).

2. AC3 Codec, same thing as with the XviD Codec installation, just click on the executable you downloaded and it should install the codec automatically.

3. Gnot Rippack, this is a little more work to install, but just as easy. Again, double click on the executable.

Click on "Let's Go!". It will the come up with a list of components you can install. Below is a list of the components and which ones you should install.

Click on "Install" to start installing the programs. It should be all completely automated. A message pops up and asks you to start Nandub and Virtualdub once before you start encoding, go to you install directory and do that.
