Security Update
Posted by Kevin on 07/31/03 at 11:46 PM

Just a friendly reminder from TechReviewer.com to keep your system up-to-date!

Microsoft is urging everyone using a NT-based system (that includes Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Server 2003) to install a new security patch. The first security bulletin was released July 16, 2003, which announced the buffer overrun in the RPC interface that could allow code execution.

In my newest article, which will be posted within a couple of days, I will conduct some experiments to see how much it really costs to run a computer, and how significant changes in clock speed influence power consumption. I also plan to publish a review on NEC's newest DVD+RW drive within a week.
